Why should I schedule a bridal portrait session?
Bridal portrait sessions are a tradition here in Southeast Louisiana for several reason:
1. Trial Run: The bridal portrait session allows the bride to do a trial run of her hair style, makeup and wedding attire before the actual day. This will help her make any necessary adjustments or changes to feel her best on the wedding day.
2 Relaxed Atmosphere: Bridal portraits are typically taken in a more relaxed environment compared to the actual wedding day. This can help the bride feel much less pressured and more comfortable being in front of the camera.
3. Creative Expression: this session provides the bride and the photographer an opportunity for creative and artistic freedom, often in a unique location that isn’t feasible on the wedding day.
4. Gifts / Display: The most common use of bridal portraits is to put on display at the reception, but many brides gift their patents with prints from their session.
5. Practice Posing: During a bridal portrait session, a bride has the opportunity to practice posing in their gown, and working with her photographer, which will result in better wedding day photos.
Ultimately, whether a bride chooses to do bridal portraits depends on personal preference, and/or cultural traditions. Although they are not a necessity, it can add an extra layer of beauty to the entire wedding experience.
