John's Sweet Proposal to Anna in Downtown Ponchatoula
Love was in the air in Downtown Ponchatoula yesterday as John surprised Anna with a heartfelt proposal, right after brunch at Roux & Brew Restaurant.
The scene was set on a picturesque mid-day Saturday. The sun's warm rays were beaming down on the downtown area of Ponchatoula. John had been planning this special moment for a couple weeks, and everything was perfectly orchestrated to make it a memory they would both cherish forever.
Their morning started with brunch at Roux & Brew, a cozy and popular eatery in Downtown Ponchatoula. The couple enjoyed a delightful meal and dessert, creating more precious memories together. Little did Anna know that this brunch was just the beginning of a day filled with love and a surprise proposal.
After their brunch date, John and Anna walked hand in hand towards one of the historic buildings in downtown, the old Ballards Service Station, that has been recently redone to perfection with beautiful doors under the canopy. This is only one spot that gives downtown its unique charm. With each step, I know John's heart was racing in anticipation of the big moment.
They arrived under the canopy and were admiring the beautiful doors of the old service station, and John expressed his love and admiration for Anna. Anna was shocked when he dropped down to one knee and asked her to marry him. Anna responded with a "YES!". The area was already alive with bystanders since Trade Days was in full swing, and cheers of congrats could be heard. Downtown Ponchatoula had witnessed a beautiful part of their love story, and the memory of this unforgettable day will forever linger in their minds and hearts.
We photographed them for a few minutes at the proposal location, and then proceeded to go to Downtown Hammond for the sweetest portrait session.
Denny & I want to wish them a lifetime of love and happiness as they embark on this next chapter. We were beyond excited to play a part in this sweet proposal and be able to photograph it for them.
